We strongly believe that reform is needed in the cocoa sector, in the areas of policy, human rights, farmers inclusion and income, in order to secure a sustainable cocoa sector. We see the importance to have a comprehensive structure in producing countries, that represents all relevant stakeholders. Structure shall clearly define role and responsibilities of actors, this will ensure fair distribution of revenue, create opportunity were farmers, government, industry, and others can play their deserved role.
As a result, we at Farmgate Cocoa Alliance have developed a 2030 Cocoa Sector Roadmap, that will help facilitate the implementation of needed reforms in the sector.
